The David Ferguson Memorial Prize is aimed at providing a financial award of up to £500 to a young cellist/s between the ages of 7 - 13 years old. To apply, you must reside in the British Isles.

The money should contribute towards lessons, extra curricular musical activities or the purchase of an instrument/bow.

Eligible candidates are required to fill in the application form and submit a recent short video of one or two pieces of their own selection (this can be unaccompanied).

Please be aware that the amount of pieces submitted bares no influence over the end result.

This prize is intended for gifted students with financial difficulties.

The winner/s will be invited to perform in the Prize Winner's Concert.
