Wallis Power is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Music where she was an Aston Lark and Bliss Scholar. During her time at the RCM she studied with Melissa Phelps and Richard Lester.

 

Wallis is currently a freelance cellist based in London. She regularly plays with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Collegium Strings and joined the Glyndebourne Touring Orchestra last Autumn as part of their Pit Perfect scheme. She also looks forward to joining the London Sinfonietta Academy this September and the Chipping Campden Festival Academy Orchestra next May.

 

Wallis is a founding member of the Brompton String Quartet, winners of the 2019 St Martin in the Fields competition and Park Lane Artists for 2020.

 

She is a passionate and committed cello teacher, having started her teaching journey at the age of seventeen. Her pupils range from from beginner-advanced level and she loves teaching cellists of all ages.
